THE OKUHLE MEDIA GROUP LAUNCHES BOOST COLLECTIVE

Cape Town based, Okuhle Media are excited to announce the launch of Boost Collective, the latest addition to their newly restructured group. This newly-formed business will specialise in story telling, through content creation and brand amplification.

“With a legacy of creating content that has engaged millions of local and international television audiences, it made sense to tap into that well of storytelling expertise to establish a company within the group that is firmly grounded in content creation. One that goes the full yard, amplifying this content for clients, brands and TV shows, across multiple platforms ” says Paula Brown, MD of Boost and Director at the Okuhle Media Group.

Boost tells stories

Established in 2003 as a marketing and communications driven, production company, our business has come full circle, reintroducing its marketing offerings to corporates and other production companies. According to a recent Cisco report, after 2020, over 80% of the worlds internet will be video.

Video is the new black.

It goes beyond simply producing content. “ Using video in all formats, we help brands establish a framework that applies storytelling to their brand and marketing strategy. We extract the stories, craft them into video and other traditional formats, doing justice to both the brand and its audience,” says Anita Rowland, Executive Producer and Head of Content Creation at Boost. “We take these stories to market, distributing them across relevant media platforms and effectively

amplify the parts that will make an impact on our client’s target audience and stakeholders” she adds.

Boost Collective’s vision is to trail-blaze a new agency category, by ensuring the starting point focusses on the content and the story, with all amplification options considered in the story creation process.

What’s in a name?

Whilst ‘Boost’ refers to lliterally ‘boosting’ the reach, ‘Collective’ harnesses the new age of agency thinking that draws on first-in-class expertise to represent clients’ various industries. Whilst there will always be a core team, Boost’s agility will rely on its “black book” of creatives and experts, who sit outside the organisation. “Our ability to access best-of-breed creatives provides substance and depth to the stories we tell,” Rowland concludes.

A successful track record

Okuhle Media has a 15-year track record of entertaining audiences, both locally and internationally , with shows like, SABC2’s daily, tween magazine show Hectic Nine9 (now in its 10th year), lifestyle cooking and travel shows, Sarah Graham Food Safari and Neill Anthony Private, and many more. Boost Collective will no doubt continue the tradition of delighting clients and broadcasters with great content whilst staying ahead of the trend that places video content as the cornerstone of marketing strategies globally.
