The brief:

South African electronics engineering company iKubu developed a safety tool for cyclists, that used radar to detect vehicles approaching the cyclist from behind. The product was called ‘Backtracker’ and iKubu requested that Okuhle Media produce an informative video to launch and demonstrate the capability of the product.

The solution:

Okuhle Media opted to produce a story based video in response to the brief. The piece was filmed in and around the exquisite Stellenbosch surrounds and used as a marketing tool via a crowdsourcing campaign on Dragon Innovation. The wonderful end to this story is that Backtracker launched so spectacularly, that it was purchased by international GPS specialist, Garmin.
